Kevin Taweel

New Asurion Corporation

Kevin is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of NEW Asurion Corporation, the world’s largest provider of device insurance, warranty and support services for cell phones, consumer electronics and home appliances. Since NEW Asurion’s inception, the company has grown to 17,000 employees, serving over 275 million customers. Kevin started his professional career in mergers and acquisitions with Salomon Brothers Inc. He then became Chairman and President of investment firm Mill River Corporation before co-founding NEW Asurion in 1994. In 2001, Kevin was awarded the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Kevin is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a member of the school’s advisory council and has served on its management board. Kevin serves on the Board of Directors of East West Institute, an international organization that develops solutions for the world’s major political, economic and security issues, and ResponseLink, LLC, a provider of medical alert systems. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the California Institute of Technology. Kevin holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
